Atlantic Lithium Wins Key Approval as Huayou Takes Over Ghana Project Funding

Atlantic Lithium received Australian foreign investment approval for Huayou’s proposed all-cash acquisition, which still requires shareholder and other approvals. After quarter-end, Huayou completed the transfer of Elevra’s project rights and obligations and is set to sole-fund remaining development costs under the agreement; quarter-end cash was approximately A$8 million.

Huayou Takes Over Ewoyaa Rights, Commits Up to $66 Million in Funding

Atlantic Lithium says Zhejiang Huayou has completed its takeover of Elevra’s rights and obligations in the Ghana portfolio, including a 22.5% interest and spodumene offtake rights. Huayou will sole-fund development costs up to the remaining $66 million commitment, earning a further 27.5% interest and taking its stake to 50%, after which costs are to be shared equally.
