Comet Ridge Takes Full Control Of Mahalo Gas Hub, Targets 2027 Investment Decision
Comet Ridge has completed its acquisition of Santos’ stake, giving it full ownership of the Mahalo Gas Hub, which holds 361 petajoules of 2P reserves and 725 petajoules of 3P reserves; the underlying project estimates are unchanged, but are now reported on a 100% basis. The company is revising development plans to cover the wider hub and is pursuing sales of uncontracted gas to LNG projects and other large buyers, with a final investment decision targeted for mid-2027 and first gas targeted for 2029.
