Vintage Reclassifies Most Cooper Basin Reserves as Contingent Resources
Vintage Energy’s independent assessment found gas-in-place estimates at its Odin and Vali fields were largely unchanged, but reclassified substantial volumes to contingent resources to reflect current development plans. Net proved and probable reserves fell to about 12 petajoules from about 73 petajoules a year earlier, while Cooper Basin contingent resources rose from none to about 63 petajoules; the company says further development depends on near-term activities and a firm commitment.
