West Wits Nearly Triples Monthly Mine Development As Funding Advances

West Wits Mining nearly tripled monthly underground development during the September quarter, reaching a record pace in September, while surface infrastructure completion rose from 45% to 61%. The company says it has received a second senior-loan drawdown after meeting lenders’ cost-to-complete test, and expects stoping to begin in February 2027, with commercial production targeted for late 2027. West Wits Launches Drilling to Test Bird Reef Uranium and Gold Potential

West Wits has commissioned a 17-hole diamond drilling program at its Bird Reef Central project, scheduled to begin by the end of November and funded from existing cash reserves. The staged work is intended to assess whether a maiden uranium resource can be estimated and to expand and improve confidence in the existing gold resource of about 118,000 ounces; results are expected progressively through the first half of 2027.
